Choosing an AI Marketing Agency in Quezon City

Choosing an AI Marketing Agency in Quezon City

Every agency in Metro Manila now says it uses AI. The claim has become noise, which makes it useless as a filter. These are the questions that actually separate genuine capability from a rebranded retainer, and the pricing structures worth avoiding.

Why has "AI-powered" stopped meaning anything?

Because it costs nothing to say. An agency that pastes your brief into ChatGPT and an agency that has rebuilt its research, testing and reporting around AI both describe themselves the same way on their homepage.

The claim is not the signal. The specifics are. So the useful question is not do you use AI but what exactly does AI do here, and what does a person still decide?

A real answer sounds operational: AI drafts twenty ad variants, a strategist kills eighteen; AI clusters six months of search terms, a human decides which clusters get budget. A vague answer sounds like a brochure.

What should you actually ask before signing?

Five questions. The answers tell you more than any case study.

1. "What does AI do in your process, and what does a human decide?" You are testing whether they have thought about the boundary. Anyone who says AI does everything is either exaggerating or producing generic work. Anyone who cannot name a single automated step is charging you agency rates for manual labour.

2. "Who owns the ad accounts, analytics and domain?" This should be you, in your name, with the agency granted access. If assets live in the agency's account, leaving means abandoning your conversion history and starting cold. That is a switching cost disguised as convenience.

3. "What is the defined outcome of this engagement, and how do we know it is done?" Retainers with no completion condition are structurally incentivised to continue. A scope with a defined outcome is a different product from an open-ended monthly fee.

4. "How is your fee structured, and does it change if my budget changes?" Covered below, and it matters more than the headline number.

5. "What would make you tell me not to run ads?" The most revealing question on the list. An agency that has never advised a prospect against spending is either extraordinarily lucky or not being straight with people. Sometimes the correct answer is that your budget is too small to generate usable data, or that your landing page will waste the traffic.

Why does the pricing model matter more than the price?

Because it decides whose interest the advice serves.

Model Incentive it creates
Percentage of ad spend Agency earns more when you spend more
Flat monthly fee Agency earns the same regardless of budget
Fixed project quote Agency earns more by finishing efficiently
Performance-based Depends entirely on how performance is defined

Percentage-of-spend is the common one worth examining. When your agency's revenue rises with your budget, the moment budgets should be questioned is the moment they lose money by questioning them. That is not an accusation of bad faith. It is a structural conflict, and structure beats intention over time.

Performance-based sounds ideal and often is not, because "performance" gets defined as something easy to hit. A model paid on leads with no qualification standard will deliver a great many worthless leads.

We use flat monthly fees for ongoing work and fixed quotes for projects, and we say so on the paid media page rather than making you ask.

Does hiring locally in Quezon City actually matter?

For some things, genuinely yes. For others, less than people assume.

Where local matters:

  • Understanding how Filipino buyers research and pay
  • Knowing seasonality that does not appear in global benchmarks
  • Writing copy that reads naturally here rather than translated
  • Recognising which platforms your specific market actually uses

Where it matters less:

  • Meetings. Most execution is asynchronous anyway.
  • Technical execution. Ad platforms work identically everywhere.
  • Being in the same building. It has no bearing on quality.

The genuinely useful test is whether they can explain something specific about your market that you did not already know. Anyone can say "we understand the local market". Few can tell you something true and non-obvious about it.

What should you expect on timelines?

Be sceptical of speed promises in organic channels.

  • Paid media: signal in weeks, but four to six weeks of consistent spend before results mean anything. Both platforms need conversion volume to optimise.
  • AI visibility: often faster than traditional SEO, because AI engines recrawl live indexes and competition here is thin. Weeks rather than months for uncontested questions. See AI visibility in the Philippines.
  • Traditional SEO: months. Anyone guaranteeing fast rankings on competitive commercial terms is describing something that does not work that way.

If an agency promises all three quickly, that alone is a reason to slow down.

Frequently Asked Questions

What to do next

Take the five questions above into your next agency conversation. The pricing structure question and the "when would you tell me not to spend" question will tell you most of what you need within two minutes.

If you want to have that conversation with us, get in touch. We will tell you plainly whether we think we are the right fit, including when we are not.

Frequently asked questions

What does an AI marketing agency actually do differently?

Used properly, AI compresses the slow parts: research, drafting variants, analysing account data, building reports. It does not replace strategic judgement. An agency that cannot tell you which parts are automated and which are decided by a person is probably using AI as a marketing term.

How much should an agency cost in the Philippines?

It depends on scope and model. What matters more than the number is the structure: a flat monthly fee or fixed project quote keeps incentives aligned, whereas a percentage of ad spend rewards the agency for spending more of your money.

Should I hire a local agency or an overseas one?

Local helps with market context: consumer behaviour, payment habits, seasonality, and which platforms your buyers actually use. It matters less for availability, since most work happens asynchronously. Judge the reasoning rather than the location.

What questions should I ask before signing?

Who owns the ad accounts and analytics. What happens if we stop working together. What is the defined outcome of this engagement. What does AI do here and what does a human decide. How is your fee structured and does it change with my budget.

How long before I see results?

Paid media can show signal within weeks but needs four to six weeks of consistent spend to optimise. SEO and AI visibility take longer, typically months. Be sceptical of anyone promising fast results in organic search.
